What to see on Lugano lake
What to see on Lugano lake. Have you read the first part of my trip on Lugano lake? Well you definitely can not miss it. In the travelogue I recommended some fabulous restaurants, hotels and shops to be counted in the list of what to see on Lugano lake and much more.
Curious to find out how the story goes? I’ll tell you today!
What to see on Lugano lake: from the center of the lake to a small corner of paradise
The alarm sounds. The sun peeps out from the hills, the lake reflects and radiates the room filtered through the curtains. I wake up, still wrapped in the soft bathrobe with which I fell asleep after a bath yesterday. Someone knocks on the door. I open. A huge plate peeps supported by the man of the room service. I do not ask for more: a royal breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake to start the day in the best possible way.
Go down to the lobby, I am greeted with smiles and kindness. I take the second coffee of the day in the small, quiet bar corner in Melia Campione and I went toward the port. Here a private boat is waiting for me ready to show the lake of Lugano from a thousand different angles. On board a drink from the hotel from the Arabian Nights: champagne, canapés, finger food and small samples of specialties to which I could not resist.
After an hour of navigation we reach our destination. Grotto San Rocco. A typical restaurant perched on the most scenic shore of Lugano lake (to be included in the list of what to see absolutely on Lugano llake). Here we are greeted by the manager who proposes an original and really tasty menu: from meats to cheeses, via fish from the lake and sea. All accompanied by a glass of good wine.
Lunch is over, our boat is there, moored right under our table and is waiting for us (this corner of paradise is a 10-minute boat ride from the lake and 1 hour and a half by road, crowds!). Time to another scenic ride on the lake, a chat, a toast and night falls. I return to the hotel, I pack up and go up in the car. Our driver New Limousine escorted us up to the house, a pleasant and a little ‘melancholy journey. Bye Switzerland, see you soon!
